_*Simple Machines Around My House*_#4

We have been studying simple machines in STEM. We were assigned homework that we had to go home and take a picture with all 6 of the simple machines.
-My first picture is of me with the pulley. This pulley is part of our garage door. It lifts the door (the load) with the effort of the engine.

-The second picture is me with a lever. The lever is a shovel and it helps dig holes.

-The third picture is me with a srew. The screw holds the hinge onto the fence post.

-The fourth picture is me with a linclined plane. I'm sitting on the steps to represent it helping me to reach the front door easier.

-The fifth picture is me with a wedge. The wedge i chose was a saw. The saw cuts through the wood or whatever it is cutting.

-The sixth picture is of me with a wheel and axle. As you can see i chose a car tire of my sister's car. The wheel helps the car move smoother by rotating on its axle.

Simple Machines 2_*#3

In class we were told to draw a picture of 3 simple machines, pulley, lever, and wheel and axle.

For the pulley I choose to draw an elevator. The load is the pig inside the elevator, the fulcrum is the top of the wheel. The effort is the monkey in my case pulling on the rope.

For the lever i drew a teeter toter. the fulcrum is the pyrimid holding it up and the load is the high up child and the effort is the girl pusing with her legs to lower the load.

For the wheel and axle I choose to draw a fan. The axle in the middle is the effort the blades are the fan.

The next picture we drew was the other 3 simple machines.

The house with stairs is an example of and inclined plane. The stairs are and inclined plane. The load is whats being lifted by the stairs. The effort is the force pulling the load.

The wedge is the knife. The load is whats getting cut. The effort is the force behind it.

The screw i drew is an example of a a screw. The effort is the force behind it. the load is what its driving into.

_Simple Machines_Around My School_#2

We recently went around our school to find different simple machines. A simple machine allows less force on an object. It makes jobs less strenuous and life easier.
Picture1.
The first simple machine is a 3-hole-punch. It is a combination of a wedge and a lever. The wedge pierces through the paper creating the 3 holes. The lever is the handle, it applies pressure to the wedge to pierce the paper.
Picture2.
The second simple machine is scissors. It is a wedge and a lever; just like the 3-hole-punch. The wedge it the two blades, and they cut through to paper. The lever is the handle that applies force to the wedge to cut the paper.
Picture3.
The third and final simple machine I did was the wheels on the smart board. It’s a wheel an axle.
The wheel and axle allows the smart board to slide on its track.

ME#1

Hey. I am a athlete. I play volleyball, basketball, and softball. I am the youngest of 4. My dad was married before and had Ry and A. Ry had leukemia, which caused his death when he was five. A is a recent graduate of college. When my dad got married to my mom they had me and R. R plays soccer, softball, and she cheers for basketball.
My interests are children and basketball. I have 12 little cousins. My favorite basketball team is Ohio State. Jared Sullinger is my favorite player. I don't like pro basketball.
This Blog is for stem class. The unique thing about one of my teachers is she is my cousin. The other teacher is the 7th grade science teacher.http://www.thebuckeyebattlecry.com/tag/aaron-craft/
